        <description><![CDATA[The Midlands Excellence Awards...a celebration of the inspirational successes achieved by truly excellent organisations.Our annual awards programme has inspired hundreds of organisations, of all sizes and sectors to put themselves in the crucible of competition and provide the unique opportunity to stand in front of 1,300 peers and be recognised as the best of the best in the Midlands. The event itself is the largest of its kind in Europe.Applicants write a submission detailing how their approaches and results make them exemplars of excellence. The application is considered and then verified through a site visit by our team of expert assessors who then compile detailed and valuable feedback. This highlights strengths and areas for improvement against 32 criteria drawn from the EFQM Excellence Model. Whether you win an award or not, the feedback can be used to inform strategic planning and steer improvement activity.Winning a Midlands Excellence Award represents success in one of the toughest, most rigorous assessments of organisational performance there is. A look at our Hall of Fame shows that you are in excellent company.]]></description>

It is a great privilege to recognise so many great organisations through our awards programme which began in 1997.
