    Assessor training

Every year we assemble teams of volunteers to assess all the different organisations that apply for the Midlands Excellence Awards.

With so much riding on the assessment, our applicants need to know that the teams are fair, expert and professional.

That’s why, if you become a volunteer assessor, you’ll undertake a rigorous training programme that gives you a deep understanding of the EFQM Model, Europe’s most established and holistic framework for developing organisational excellence.

It’s easy to see why so many people apply to be assessors, when you consider the unique benefits it offers:

    • The opportunity to assess an applicant organisation

    • Deepen your knowledge of performance improvement under the guidance of a senior mentor

    • Develop your teamwork, management and leadership skills

    • Contribute to the competitiveness of our region

    • Take powerful insights back to your own organisation and help boost its results

As one of our assessors said, “it’s like doing an MBA every year”.
